Glazing mullions, spandrel panels, guardrails and even the ceramic frit on the glazing panels fit into the ‘champagne tone’. The penthouse level received different rooftop directional screens to catch the sunlight and produce a luminosity that will sparkle above the skies of Vancouver.
The light-catching champagne colored screens produce a luminous pinnacle for the tower.
The genesis of this public art installation began with the premise of re-presenting the vacant space in the vertical construct of this residential tower. Acting as the public art component of the building, ‘milky way’ was conceived as a representation of stars of the night sky along with in the absence of the architecture.
